One of the great things about Darkrunner is that it can adapt and use what ever melee weapon you want to an extent. I prefer taking a Strength/Stamina set (Obs leather) over a pure Strength set (Flame) because I like to play Darkrunner as more of a fighter style class than a glass cannon class, however, gearing this way doesn't lessen your damage output by much and the amount of melee attack you get using a Flame set is simply not worth losing the health an obs leather set gives you (I explain this more in the gear section below). Most people and guides will tell you it's a "glass cannon" class with little to no survivability (and it can be) but that is almost entirely based on your gear choice. *If you're playing on fresh start I'll list the gear to aim for in the gear sectionĭarkrunner is one of the most mobile classes other than Primeval. * Keep in mind the armor/weapons I list are the ideal ones you'd want, for some things I give more than one option and that's for you to decide which one you want to use *This guide assumes you have some basic knowledge of the game Poisons enemy and increases your damage for a duration.THIS IS NOT UPDATED FOR UNCHAINED MOST OF THE INFO IS INCORRECT NOW They have considerably higher damage and stats than one-handed weapons individually.Ħ% chance to penetrate 10,000 Magic Defense Wielding a shield gives a buff that further increases physical and magical defenses by 200, and increases max HP and MP by 350.Įquipping a two-handed weapon occupies both hands. You can dual-wield one-handed weapons (or use a one-handed weapon in the right hand and a shield in the left hand). Obviously you will first choose a weapon based on its trigger effect and healing power/magical attack rather than on its attack speed, but this is something to keep in mind.Įach one-handed weapon occupies one hand and can go into either hand (except when otherwise stated). Considering that weapon skills seem to be based of your average DPS instead of your raw weapon damage and that each weapon hit has a chance to proc a trigger effect independently of weapon speed (needs confirmation), you'll generally prefer using faster weapons (lower attack speed) so you get more trigger effects while not losing any damage as your average DPS is the same. So, high attack speed means that your weapon is slow, and low attack speed means it's fast. Attack speed should actually be named "attack delay" or something similar, because it is a value that represents how slow you attack. The trigger effect is an effect that has a chance to happen each time you simply attack an enemy with the weapon. It goes both ways - this means that with a high damage scatter, a weapon will sometimes hit much higher than average, but also sometimes hit much lower than average. In the tables below, damage scattering is basically the deviation each weapon's attack has from its average DPS.
